Pre-running is going on in earnest today. I spoke with Dave Froman today for a while before he took off. He's the first rider, so he has the GPS SPOT device with him that all riders will carry with them. It's like the Dirt Dog Baton, except that's also the Bike's job!
Froman will carry the SPOT with him as he preruns today. I'll blog and text as another practice. He's going to carry the SPOT in a few different places, and even test the "help" function (but not the "Emergency send helicopter" function.
