The bad news is: the SPOT device failed to make the rider change. We will have no updates until Rich begins the last leg at RM 1160.
During the night, satellite phone communication problems resulted in the inability to send text messages to the chase trucks after 2:47 AM. Tim's stead-fast dedication and numerous phone calls produced the necessary work-arounds that enabled the restoration of data flow by 5:53 AM.

Thanks for the update and all your hard work on this site! With the communication being so hit and miss with cell phones it is nice to read that Buster is still alive and everyone is doing well.
